コース概要

ジェフ・オクルツリーは、ドラマーのためにあらゆる面からドラムをケアした、世界で最初の“ドラム・テック”です。ビリー・コブハム、ジョン・ボーナムに始まり、レニー・ホワイト、マーク・クレイニー、スティーヴ・フェローン、スティーヴ・スミス、アレックス・ヴァン・ヘイレンなど、活動を共にしてきたドラマーは数知れません。数々のスーパー・ドラマー達のドラムを、レコーディングやライヴの現場で手掛けてきた“伝説のドラム・テック”でありながら、現在も若手を含めた数多くのドラマー達のドラムを世話し続けています。

ジェフ・オクルツリー初の映像作品となる本作は、これまで彼が培ってきた豊富で貴重な経験・ノウハウの数々を、ドラム・テックを目指す人はもちろん、全てのドラマーに役立ててもらおうとジェフ自らが伝受するものです。9名のドラマーが参加し、9台のドラム・セットを使い、実際のセッティング／チューニング、ドラム演奏や、興味深い対談・インタビューなどを豊富に紹介。ジョン・ボーナムの遺品であり、実際にレッド・ツェッペリンのレコーディングで使用されていたドラム・キットの一つ、ラディックのグリーン・スパークルも映像初公開され、ボンゾのセッティング／チューニング／マイキングの秘密も披露されます。
